History Behind the Edwin K
The Edwin K Bed & Breakfast was built in 1914 by Edwin Kyle. The Kyle family were early commercial entrepreneurs here in Florence, Oregon. The Edwin K is conveniently located within walking distance to shopping, art galleries and restaurants in Old Town Florence . As you walk downtown you can explore the many historical buildings in Florence including the Kyle building that housed the town mercantile.
The Edwin K B & B is a Sears Craftsman Home that is elegant, yet warm and inviting. The front porch showcases the original floors and windows that block the coastal wind. The living room and dining room feature the original fir cabinets, windows, beam ceilings and oak floors.
The home was originally located next to the Siuslaw River Bridge. In 1970 it was relocated to its current location across from the Siuslaw River and the Oregon National Sand Dunes. The house became a Bed & Breakfast in 1992.
In 2020 my husband and I purchased the Edwin K. After spending a year lovingly restoring and updating the home, we opened the B&B in May of 2021. We are life-long Oregonians and feel blessed our dream of running a bed & breakfast came true!

Condo at the Edwin K
In June of 2023 we opened the Condo at the Edwin K!
This fully furnished condo that is absolutely perfect for your next getaway. The condo features a private entrance, gourmet kitchen and spacious living room. The bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite with access to your own private deck, complete with a barbeque! We've thought of everything you need to make this your home-away-from-home. The condo is open seven days a week.
